More then seventeen years ago, Gabriela and
me were two of the few women who studied computer science.
While most of our male colleagues were very fond of their PCs, neither of us
two had dealt with computers before.
But we both were specialists, too! We successfully knitted fantasic jumpers
during lectures and during the holidays we recovered from "Tekky-Stuff" by designing
and sewing our own fashion collections.
Once in a while, we both needed some time-out
from lectures and then we often convinced our colleague Eugene Trustworthy to
join us in the cafeteria for some Prosecco.
Although Eugene wasn't much of a talker and knew a lot of computers, he obviously
enjoyed those "Prosecco-Time-Outs" with Gabriela and me just as much as we did.
The day we had written our final exams I suddenly realised, that Gabriela and
Eugene had gradually fallen in love with each other - but they still were not
completely aware of it! Time to party! I invited them for dinner, me being the
cook. Time passed quickly that evening and suddenly it was that late, that they
both happily accepted my suggestion to stay overnight... The result? They are
married for many years already and have two children together!
