Like astrology,
numerology is an alternative approach to describe in an abstract chart all the
issues a person's life is about.
In contrast to astrology the chart of numerology is not based on the positions
of planets, but on Pythagoras' so called Life Theorem
"The
square of the hypotenuse of a right triangle is equal to the sum of the squares
of the other two sides".
Pythagoras used the right triangle - the "Divine
Triangle"- as representation of the universe.
Based on this he developed
formulas to calculate the personal numbers and temporary vibrations, using the
name and date of birth as input for various calculations.
To calculate with letters, each letter is converted to a number (e.g. A=1, B=2, G=7), double digit numbers are reduced to one digit numbers (e.g. S=19/1, W=23/5).
The Life Lesson Number
Represents the lessons you must learn in this lifetime and
is most significant in your choice of a career. It is derived from your full birth date.
Even a business or idea has a moment of "birth" and can therefore be
treated in the same way, e.g. if you were born on the 19th of July in 1964, your
Life Lesson Number is 46/1 (19+7+20 = 46,
4+6 =10, 1+0 =1 ).
The Soul Number
Represents your
real personality, the person you desire to be, the part that is not easily recognised
by others unless they know you very well.
For someone, believing in reincarnation,
the Soul Number also indicates what you have been in a previous life.
It is
derived by adding the vowels of your full name at birth.
Outer Personality Number
This number indicates
how you are seen by other people and what they expect from you due to the image
you present.
Of course this can differ from how you really are or see yourself.
The Outer Personality Number is derived by adding the consonants of your full
name at birth.
The Path of Destiny Number
It shows what
you must do in this lifetime, what you came here to manifest.
It is derived
by adding your unreduced Soul Number and your Outer Personality Number.
Period Numbers represent the surrounding energies and the related issues working temporarily in a certain period of time, e.g. nine years period, one year, four month or one month.
